RYAN CONNOLLY (he/him)
I'm a Boston native with a deep appreciation for education. I come from a very long lineage of teachers and educators.
I began my yoga journey in 2007 in a cozy seaside studio. It was a cold winter's night and I honestly can't remember why I went, but I'm so glad I did.
My practice began to evolve significantly when I began to participate in heated vinyasa flows. The heat combined with the breath and movement allowed me to be fully present and focused on my mat.
For me, yoga serves as a vital bridge for my mind-body connection.
Drawing on my background as an amateur musician with experience across various instruments, I curate playlists to motivate and guide my asana classes without distraction.
Occasionally, I do like to incorporate some live instrumentation to enhance savasana or lead a closing Ohm. I'm a big fan of the shruti box, hang drum, tongue drum or singing bowls.
What to Expect from My Classes
My classes are designed to be inclusive and accessible to all levels. I believe yoga is a personal journey, and I am committed to fostering safe and individual growth. I break down complex poses into manageable components, allowing students to comfortably and safely progress towards more challenging postures. My classes aim to be both familiar and challenging, with the ultimate goal of guiding students out of their everyday distractions and onto their mats to nourish both body and mind.
