LAUREN BAILEY (she/her)

My name is Lauren, I also go by Lo or Lolo. I love teaching mindfulness and yoga because they are two key components to what saved my life. A lifestyle I embody and feel called to share with others. I am a 500-hour certified Yoga teacher and meditation guide. Along with being a 35-hour trauma-informed yoga teacher, workshop & event facilitator, mindfulness specialist, and holistic lifestyle guide. Owner of Earth Angel, my holistic wellness & care business. My class style, Flow & Restore, like all my classes, is choice-based. Allowing students to practice intuitively. My class is welcome to all levels. I am passionate about creating environments that feel creatively expressive, mindfully tuned in, and grounding. Creating shapes with compassion & curiosity. My flows include optional variations of shapes throughout. The class structure is the flow for the first half, then restorative shapes for the remainder of class, leading into a meditative Shavasana.

I have a deeply rooted intention to guide my students on their personal self-healing and discovery journeys with mindfulness-based tools that I provide during class to help them incorporate these practices into life off the mat. My calling has always been to help others prioritize their self-well-being and deepen their connection to themselves and others. The longest relationship you have is the one with yourself. How you take care of yourself goes deeper than you may realize. There is no single way to manage emotions or process the experiences we encounter in life; it requires a team of resources and practices.

Yoga is one of many tools on the journey to tuning into your inner divine self. It’s for everyone. It’s meant to be a practice that helps you meet yourself where you're at and befriend the discomfort that may arise with stillness or slower movements. In other words, you don't have to be flexible to be a yoga student and attend classes; it has nothing to do with flexibility. Yoga is an umbrella term that encompasses various holistic aspects of life.

It’s designed to give you space and permission to exist in the present with all that you are. Let my class be part of your self-study practice, aka svadhyaya in Sanskrit. Let’s break through this society's hustle and burnout culture and take our time. Learn how to slow down, feel our way through, and unwind while letting loose and having some fun, too! Life isn’t meant to be so serious!

What You Can Expect From My Classes

A grounding opening to class, followed by a mindful creative flow with options to add or subtract shapes through your intuitive experience throughout class. Transitioning us into a restorative unwinding, leading to shavasana. Expect me to always be my authentic self. Creating an environment that has welcomed it all, including random dancing in a shape because you enjoy the rhythm of a song, audible breaths, giggles, cries, etc. Show up as you! See you on the mat!
